Brian Greenblatt has diverse corporate, healthcare and psychology related interests and holds qualifications in the fields of business, finance, natural medicine, psychology, and public health, and he is internationally certified in both neuro-linguistic programming and clinical hypnosis.
His current interests are in the fields of mindfulness-based interventions, psychosynthesis and neuro-hypnosis and the conscious and subconscious mind in health, education and leadership. Dr Greenblatt’s training and practice as well as his successful management of South African and multinational companies have been central to his belief in the potential for achievement and success within every human being.
He consults, coaches and lectures on the realization of personal wellbeing and self-worth with an approach that employs each person’s unique resources, while supporting and guiding them to achieve their personal goals individually and in families, and within organisations and society. He maintains a private practice in Waverley, Johannesburg.
Each person is uniquely different to the next and consciously or subconsciously already has many of the abilities needed to grow in ways that move them closer to the fullest possible realization of their own potential. We all have untapped or only partially used stores of knowledge and skills and are capable of using these abilities and strengths productively in various situations that we may encounter in our daily lives. However, all of us have times in our lives when we need some additional support, coaching and guidance as to what and how to most efficiently “find our way” to resolve a problem effectively or to achieve a goal successfully. This is where a skilled and qualified therapist or change-agent can be consulted to guide one towards self-empowerment and more widely to greater health, happiness and success.
The synergistic interrelationships of Psychosynthesis principles with NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) processes, Hypnosis, EFT (Emotional Freedom therapies), and other appropriate domains are integrated in a holistic approach which clients can learn to use in achieving their goals within their unique situations and desires. The use of a wide range of hypnotically-based interventions, including breathing techniques, visualisation, mindfulness, relaxation, stress release practices, attentiveness, etc. are present in many of the methodologies that Dr Greenblatt integrates into his work contributing to the flexibility needed to match his client’s unique and changing circumstances.
On the assumption that nothing happens in isolation, the training and support emphasises the importance of his clients achieving appropriate and healthy outcomes, which are ecologically sound and in equilibrium with their personal circumstances. This must embrace their family environment, their work, social, business and wider societal interactions and responsibilities, and be consistent with their own beliefs, traditions and principles. As a change agent and facilitator of their discovering their own potential, he encourages each individual to “stretch their wings and soar” as they learn to overcome obstacles and achieve their own goals and ambitions.
He constantly assesses progress with his clients, and evaluates and adapts their sessions to remain pertinent to their immediate objectives. He also emphasises the importance of “relevancy and honesty conversations” to ensure that they do not lose sight of the central issues pertaining to the overall purpose of each client’s requirements and consultations. This is always done in a safe and confidential manner where his clients are free to express themselves openly and to discuss whatever they wish in order to find the most suitable options available to them in order that they can advance self-assuredly towards their present and longer-term positive ambitions.
Dr Greenblatt’s interests include the study of mind-body psychology within his wider fields of Ethnomedicine and Ethnopsychology, the goal always being to empower the individual. He consults and coaches individual clients to realise their own potential and to achieve their own desired goals, as well as groups within corporate and public organizations, assisting them to develop teams of more successful and fulfilled individuals.
Typical requirements clients may have include finding better ways of improving relationships and communication, dealing with conflict, learning to relax, overcoming a fear, management of pain, breaking a habit, overcoming a crisis, accomplishing ambitions and achieving more of what they desire, taking exams, becoming a better student, tennis player or dancer, etc. or becoming a more self-assured sales representative, manager or CEO, or just being more balanced in their life.
Consultation by appointment only.
